Kitchen robotics startup Posha raises $8M in series A
The company said the funding will help improve its AI features, grow its recipe database, and make the user interface more user-friendly.

AI-powered kitchen robotic startup Posha has raised $8 million in series A round led by Accel, with participation from existing investors such as Xeed Ventures; Waterbridge Ventures; Binny Bansal Co-founder, Flipkart; Asha Jadeja Motwani; Samay Kohli and Akash Gupta, Co-founders, GreyOrange.
The company said the funding will help Posha improve its AI features, grow its recipe database, and make the user interface more user-friendly.
Founded in 2016 by Rohin Malhotra and Raghav Gupta, Posha's kitchen robot offers an automated cooking experience, featuring AI-powered sensors for real-time monitoring. It manages the entire cooking process once ingredients are loaded, and the system also adapts to user preferences over time, helping with customisation in meals.
"Their AI-driven approach is practical, well-designed, and represents one of the first tangible examples of AI directly addressing a genuine human need in a meaningful way,” said Pratik Agarwal, Partner at Accel.
Posha is currently accepting pre-orders only for its kitchen robot, which is expected to be priced at $1,500. Along with this, there is going to be an optional $14.99 monthly subscription offering additional recipes and advanced customisation feature.
Posha, formerly known as Nymble, bagged seed funding from WaterBridge Ventures, Flipkart co-founder Binny Bansal and VC firm 021 Capital in 2019.
The smart kitchen appliances space is gaining traction, with Beyond Appliances raising $2 million in seed funding in a round led by Fireside Ventures in November last year.
