Where did the serious discussion of bitcoin go? (meta)

I'm a relative newcomer to bitcoin (class of 2021), so I don't remember the days when r/bitcoin was a major forum for discussing the inner workings of bitcoin and wider macroeconomics. But judging from posts from 5-10 years ago vs today, it seems like it's changed. I've just finished reading the Blocksize Wars, and there are several mentions of the r/bitcoin sub as a forum for discussion on cryptography. But today it's mostly memes about price action. All the best insight I see on bitcoin these days comes from X, substacks, and podcasts. So, where did all the cryptography enthusiasts and libertarians go? Do they hang out on different forums now? Or are they still here but drowned out by the noise? submitted by /u/Adorable_Exchange223 [link] [comments]
