Tremau secures €3 million to scale its AI-powered Trust & Safety platform

Tremau, a Paris-based Trust & Safety (T&S) startup, has raised €3 million in funding to accelerate the development of Nima, its AI-powered content moderation platform, and grow its market share internationally.

The round was backed by French Auriga Cyber Ventures and German G+D Ventures.

Our vision is simple: online safety shouldn’t be a luxury reserved for the biggest platforms,” said Louis-Victor, CEO of Tremau. “This funding allows us to scale our product and keep building the infrastructure that every platform needs to enhance their T&S processes and stay ahead of regulatory demands.”

Tremau was founded in 2021 by a team of INSEAD & MIT alumni, including Louis-Victor de Franssu, Pal Boza, Theodoros Evgeniou, and Jean-Eudes Leroy, with a mission to build a digital world that is “safe & beneficial for all“.

Tremau aims to transform how platforms protect users online, foster transparency, and comply with fast-evolving global regulations like the EU’s Digital Services Act and the UK’s Online Safety Act.

At the core of Tremau’s offering is Nima, an AI-powered platform that leverages the latest advances in generative AI and third-party detection models to orchestrate moderation processes, identify harmful content in real time, and make decisions faster and more accurately.

By design, Nima empowers T&S teams to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of moderation operations, automate compliance, and monitor performance – all from a single, intuitive interface.

As TrustTech-focused investors, we have researched the Trust & Safety market landscape in search for a technology provider that can solve the harmful content challenges at scale, while ensuring compliance with emerging regulations. Tremau’s deep domain expertise and product vision stood out among their peers, and we are proud to partner with them,” said Assaf Shamia, Partner at G+D Ventures.

After reaching profitability in 2024 and assembling a 30+ strong international team, Tremau is now entering a new phase of growth. With clients in over a dozen countries ranging from fast-growing social apps, such as Bluesky and Ko-Fi, to established platforms, such as Eventbrite, Pinterest, and AliExpress, Tremau is rapidly developing its offerign and portfolio.

The current geopolitical landscape, combined with the rapid rise of AI, underscores the urgent need for a safer digital environment and more effective content moderation tools,” said Geoffroy Rosset, Managing Partner of Auriga Cyber Ventures. “The founders’ ambition, drive, and deep expertise have impressed us. We’re convinced that Tremau is bringing much-needed technological innovationand automation to a space traditionally driven by manual approaches and legacy systems.
