London-based Unravel, the AI-powered video commerce platform transforming travel discovery, has secured €6.3 million in Series A funding to enhance its AI capabilities to optimise video-commerce conversions and expand its team.

The round was led by Nauta Capital, a leading B2B software investor, with participation from Active Partners, Slingshot Ventures, and Olivier Bisserier (ex-CFO, Booking.com). They are joined by Antler, Nodes, Upscalers, Brook Bay Capital and The Players Fund.

Founded in 2020, Unravel is an AI-powered video commerce platform that enables banks, airlines, FinTechs, and telcos to turn creator-driven travel content into seamless transactions. The founding team has decades of experience building AI products for banks, telcos, insurers and airlines.

Whether it’s a luxury overwater villa in the Maldives or a hidden street food market in Bangkok, Unravel looks to transform video discovery into frictionless transactions – right inside a bank’s app, an airline’s loyalty programme, or a FinTech marketplace.

The platform is already powering banks, insurers, and telecom operators across Asia and the Middle East, with active expansion into Europe and the UK. According to figures provided by Unravel, customers have seen a 4x increase in daily active users and 10x increase in conversion on their applications.

The rise of TikTok has had a massive influence on the way people experience content on mobile. That change has happened in parallel with banks, insurers and telcos adding travel to their list of perks or products offered to customers. Unravel has combined both of these market changes, with the addition of an AI booking assistant, to produce an incredibly popular white-label solution for customers looking to add new revenue streams. With this investment, Unravel will enhance its AI capabilities to optimise video-commerce conversions and expand its London-based team, hiring talent in AI/ML, enterprise partnerships, and digital commerce.
