My take is that it doesn’t even really matter which “side” is right at the moment. There obviously isn’t consensus which means that things should not change until there is a consensus. Based on that logic I am going to switch my core node over to knots as I believe core jumped the gun just implementing the change in Bitcoin Core 29.0 while there was so much debate and protest still. I get that the Bitcoin core devs have done a lot for Bitcoin, but at the end of the day Bitcoin isn’t for the Bitcoin core devs, it’s for the people.
