Ola Electric delays Roadster X Motorcycle deliveries by a month

EV maker Ola Electric noted in an exchange filing that the deliveries of the Roadster X motorcycle will now commence in May 2025, as opposed to the earlier intimated April 11, 2025.

Roadster X, which the company describes as the fastest electric motorcycle in its category, is set to be available in the 2.5 kWh, 3.5 kWh, and 4.5 kWh variants, and are priced at Rs 74,999, Rs 84,999, and Rs 94,999, respectively. The electric motorcycle series also comes with a standard warranty of three years/50,000 km.

The company had begun accepting pre-orders for the electric motorcycle in February.

On April 29, CNBC reported citing sources that the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) is investigating Ola Electric for alleged wrongful disclosure. The probe is centred on the gap between the company’s reported sales figures and official vehicle registration data.

In March, the Bhavish Aggarwal-led EV maker received inquiries from the Ministry of Heavy Industries and the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways of India over discrepancies in sales data and non-compliance with trade requirement certificates

On April 8, the company said that its February sales represent genuine customer demand and not "token-amount bookings". It had then said that the February 2025 sales announcement was based on paid and confirmed orders, not preliminary "bookings", the Bengaluru-based company said in a regulatory filing.
