Swish Club helps enterprises get brand-new devices for their employees at affordable costs

Businesses in India primarily have two choices when it comes to procuring devices for their employees. They either have to make massive investments upfront to buy new laptops and smartphones or lease/rent second-hand devices through third-party dealers.

The former option locks up valuable capital, while the latter could entail compromises on device performance, reliability, and support.

These traditional channels offer little to no support for IT management, software security, and device lifecycle tracking, which are critical for modern-day businesses. On top of this, SMEs (small and medium enterprises) and startups find it hard to secure financing for IT hardware due to high depreciation and lack of collateral. As a result, companies often struggle to build IT systems that work well as they scale.

Swish Club, founded by Dushyant Sapre, Jai Anand and Suraj Kumar, aims to address these challenges.

The Bengaluru-based startup enables companies to procure brand-new laptops, smartphones, PCs, servers, and tablets for their employees, through an “affordable” subscription model—instead of purchasing expensive devices outright or relying on legacy leasing systems.

“Unlike most rental providers that offer used or refurbished devices, Swish supplies brand-new, enterprise-grade hardware bundled with premium management software and damage protection. That changes the equation completely,” says Sapre, CEO of Swish Club.

The startup has positioned itself as a one-stop solution for enterprise devices, end-point management, and security software.

End-point management refers to monitoring and controlling devices used by employees. Swish Club’s platform allows IT teams to monitor the health, performance, security, and usage patterns of each device, whether it’s in office or used remotely.

“This helps businesses avoid unexpected repairs and performance issues. It also helps businesses keep devices secure and plan refresh cycles smartly,” explains Sapre.

“Swish Club’s device-as-a-service model reduces total ownership costs by 25–30% by replacing large upfront purchases with predictable monthly rentals,” he adds.

Premium devices bundled with software

Founded in November 2023, Swish Club handles the entire lifecycle of a device—from sourcing, configuration and device administration to security, safe returns, and upgrades.

“Our platform helps enterprise finance teams to lighten their balance sheet and divert capital to core business, and enterprise IT teams to confidently and securely manage their devices with a single asset administration, device management, anti-virus, and device cleaner software,” explains Sapre.

He continues, “This is a model that’s existed in the West for years, but India lacked a structured platform offering the same. We identified that mid-market and SME companies often can't secure device financing from banks or NBFCs. That’s the gap we’re filling.”

Swish Club sources devices from OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) such as Apple, HP, Dell, Lenovo, Samsung, and Google Pixel. It has also partnered with financial institutions to provide businesses access to suitable financial plans.

These plans include short-term pay-as-you-go subscriptions, which can be paused or stopped at any time, as well as long-term commitments (36–48 months) wherein assets stay off the balance sheet.

“This allows companies to access premium devices at competitive prices without impacting their working capital,” says Sapre.

The devices are bundled along with four software tools that have been developed in-house.

The software tools are:

  • Asset management platform, which allows IT teams to monitor all devices across the organisation with ease

  • Antivirus software, delivered via third-party partnerships, helping clients avoid the hassle of procuring security solutions separately

  • Automated device cleaner, which automatically cleans and optimises the devices

  • Cross-device management tool, which works across laptops and smartphones, ensuring enterprise-grade security and compliance

“The idea is to solve the real pain points of enterprise IT teams. Today, if a company wants these four services, they have to deal with four different vendors. We unify all of that,” says Sapre.

Business model and growth

Swish Club operates on a subscription model, offering devices to enterprises on a monthly or a quarterly rental plan.

“For example, a device worth Rs 1 lakh is offered at a monthly rental of around Rs 3,000, while the perceived value of the entire package—including software, support, and asset management—stands at approximately Rs 5,000 to 6,000,” says Sapre.

Another differentiator is the proprietary digital platform, which allows enterprise clients to manage assets, track device allocation, and order devices via a custom digital catalogue with pre-negotiated pricing. Prices remain fixed for six months, and devices are delivered within 24 hours, says Sapre.

Since its inception, the venture has bagged over 25 marquee clients, including HDFC Life, Max Life Insurance, and Informatica.

The company is growing between 50% and 100% month-on-month, claims the CEO. “With a strong growth trajectory, we are forecasting an annual revenue run rate of over Rs 100 crore within the next 18 months,” he adds.

The startup competes with players such as CSI Leasing and Orix India, and the OEM-led models of Dell and HP.

Commenting on Swish Club’s USP, Sapre says, “We provide a bundled experience that’s designed for simplicity and efficiency. Our software integration ensures real-time monitoring, proactive support, and full lifecycle management, all in one unified hassle-free package.”

Swish Club raised $4.5 million in a pre-Series A round in February this year—$3.3 million in equity and $1.2 million in debt financing. The funds will be used for product development, hiring, and international expansion.

The startup is working on an AI-powered product designed to fully automate IT support for enterprises managing 200–300 devices. The solution is currently in pilot testing with a few companies.

As it scales, the company plans to expand its team, especially in product development and business development roles.

International expansion is also on the cards. Sapre says existing customers have expressed interest in using Swish Club’s services for their operations in international markets, particularly Middle East and Southeast Asia.
