QNu Labs bags Rs 60 Cr in series A led by India's National Quantum Mission

QNu Labs, a Bengaluru-based startup focused on quantum-safe cybersecurity solutions, has raised Rs 60 crore (approximately $7.1 million) in a Series A funding round led by India’s National Quantum Mission (NQM), a strategic government initiative under the Department of Science and Technology.

Other participants in the round include early-stage venture capital firms and early investors Lucky Investment, Speciale Invest, Tenacity Ventures, HDFC Fund, and Singularity AMC.

The funding will be used to accelerate QNu Labs’ commercial scale-up, global expansion, and quantum R&D efforts, the company said.

QNu Labs claims to be India’s first startup offering commercially available, hardware-based quantum-safe solutions. Its offerings include Quantum Key Distribution (QKD), Quantum Random Number Generation (QRNG), and Post Quantum Cryptography (PQC), deployed across critical sectors such as defence, finance, telecom, healthcare, and infrastructure.

The company said the recent funding will also support the global rollout of QNu’s flagship platform, QShield, which it describes as “the world’s first Quantum Security-as-a-Service platform.”

The startup holds 10 patents and is among a small group of global firms offering market-ready quantum-safe cybersecurity solutions.

"India's DeepTech revolution is empowering cybersecurity innovation. At QNu, we are proud to lead the charge." We are honoured to partner with NQM and our Series A investors who share our passion for innovation and vision of a quantum-secure digital future, said Chairman and Co-founder Aluri Srinivasa Rao.

"QNu Labs represents deeptech at its purest—solving complex, global problems with first-principle thinking and long-term conviction. As one of our earliest investments, we've seen the team build patiently, layer by layer, a quantum security stack that’s truly world-class. This round marks a defining milestone—not just for QNu, but for India's emergence as a serious contender in quantum technologies globally,” said Vishesh Rajaram, Managing Partner, Speciale Invest.

“Quantum cybersecurity is not just a trend—it’s a necessity for the digital age. QNu’s tech is ahead of the curve, and their team is building something truly foundational. We're proud to support this journey,” said Ashish Kacholia, Founder, Lucky Investment.
