Pay off the house or HODL !?
My goal was always for my bitcoin to buy me a house outright . Q4 2024 I finally bought a house but put the bare minimum down . 3.5% . At the time btc was 60k and my family and mortgage broker looked at me crazy when I told them I could put 20% down but I see btc being worth 100k+ within a few months and want to liquidate as little as possible . Putting that bare minimum 3.5% down really worked in my favor as btc flew to 108k within months of this conversation . So far Bitcoin has allowed me to own a new truck and motorcycle outright . I could make this a new truck , motorcycle and a house outright right now but anyone wise with money says not to pay off the house . At a 7% interest rate though Danm is it tempting . With us crabbing along has me highly considering it . I’m starting to think maybe DCA out 25k a month and transfer that over to my mortgage . I know having a paid off house will make me feel amazing but seeing BTC go to 150-200k a few months after selling large chunks of my position would be soul crushing …. Decisions decisions ….
