Looking for Advice: Syncing a Bitcoin Node Without Blowing Through My Data Cap

Hey everyone, I’m interested in setting up a Bitcoin node, but I’ve run into a problem—syncing the blockchain is devouring my monthly data cap. I’d like to spread the download over multiple months or find a workaround to reduce the impact on my ISP limit. Has anyone dealt with this before? Are there ways to throttle the initial sync, or any other tricks to make this more manageable? I have an old laptop I'm looking at using... But wouldn't be opposed to getting a mini pc with the node pre synced on it, is that an option? Would there be a risk of it being corrupted? Appreciate any advice! submitted by /u/littlenemofr [link] [comments]
