Is the general consensus about Bitcoin shifting from a currency to a commodity?

As bitcoin grows, and becomes more scarce, has this affected the general consensus of the crypto space? Do you guys think the trading/buy sell hold narrative that we see today is the general opinion of most bitcoin enthusiasts now; versus how it used to be in early 2011-2016 when most saw it as a digital, decentralized currency with practical use? I feel as though the agenda is shifting from a decentralized "currency" (with an emphasis to compete with the dollar/euro, with little government control) and instead is seen as a commodity to buy and hold, or try to make a quick buck. What do you guys think. submitted by /u/Freakskat [link] [comments]
