In a defining moment for India’s digital infrastructure roadmap, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai laid the foundation stone for the country’s first Artificial Intelligence Data Center Park in Sector-22 of Nava Raipur. Spread across 13.5 acres, this pioneering project is being developed by RackBank Datacenters Private Limited and is fully dedicated to AI-based services.

A Strategic move towards digital India

The Nava Raipur AI Data Center Park is more than just a facility — it is a cornerstone of India's growing digital ambitions. Built with a sustainability-first approach, the park will feature energy-efficient systems and green technologies to minimise its environmental footprint. A 2.7-hectare section has been earmarked as a Special Economic Zone (SEZ), aligning with national policies to attract investments and boost tech-driven exports.

The first phase of the park is designed with a 5-megawatt capacity, with plans to expand up to 150 megawatts. This expansion is expected to attract an additional investment of ₹2,000 crore, propelling Chhattisgarh into the spotlight as an emerging technology hub.

Key features of the AI data center park

  • Dedicated AI Infrastructure: The facility will support cutting-edge services across GPU-based computing, AI processing, real-time data streaming, and global standard analytics.
  • Sector-Wide Applications: It will host services for multiple industries including HealthTech, FinTech, Defense, and Smart Agriculture, helping unlock sector-specific innovations.
  • Employment Generation: The project aims to create 500 direct and 1,500 indirect jobs, prioritising local youth and contributing to regional economic growth.
