100% into Bitcoin or start a 401k?

I’ll be making an unusual amount this month - grossing ~ $25k and I’ll probably pay ~ $7k in taxes from this paycheck .. should I just suck it up and pay my dues and then buy bitcoin with my net proceeds (as I’ve been) or should I use this as an opportunity to start a 401k ? My managers are trying to convince me to open a 401k since the company matches 4% or something like that. I’ll be honest, Ive been a complete Bitcoin maxi for the past 5 years and have not been open to the idea of diversifying. It makes sense for me to take the hit and pay tons of taxes per paycheck if it means I’ll be saving in bitcoin. Should I open a 401k and do both? I just don’t like the idea of my money growing via index vs. Bitcoin. But I do like the idea of paying less taxes ? Can anyone with a good understanding of 401ks give me a perspective ? submitted by /u/Mysterious-Spare6571 [link] [comments]
