Developers to get hands-on experience with Cortex Analyst and Snowpipe Streaming at DevSparks Bangalore

In a world where data is generated in explosive volumes, businesses struggle with a range of challenges. From real-time data ingestion to interacting with data, there are numerous obstacles to effectively accessing and understanding data.
Snowflake is ready to change that with two exclusive Hands-on-Labs at DevSparks Bengaluru 2025, a developer summit for India's burgeoning developer community. The event, scheduled for May 17, 2025, at Marriott Hotel Whitefield, Bengaluru, will feature an exciting lineup of speakers, sessions and workshops.
Here’s what you can expect from Snowflake’s Hands-on-Labs sessions at DevSparks!
Hands-on-Lab 1: Getting Started with Cortex Analyst
Business users understand the drill - when it comes to asking data questions, a Business Intelligence dashboard or report is brought up to provide answers. However, traditional dashboards and reports lack the flexibility required by modern, agile businesses. The second option? Turn to an already overburdened analyst, a process that can take days.
Cortex Analyst solves both these problems, providing a natural language interface that eliminates the need for SQL writing. Analyst leverages an agentic artificial intelligence set up that is powered by industry-leading Large Language Models (LLMs) and can smoothly integrate with any application. Its high text to SQL accuracy enables business users to ask questions in natural language and receive accurate answers in near real time.
So, how can users learn to leverage this game-changing technology? Snowflake has it covered. The tech giant is hosting an exclusive hands-on lab workshop titled ‘Getting Started with Cortex Analyst’ at DevSparks Bangalore 2025. Led by Harish Chintakunta, Senior Partner Solution Engineer, Snowflake, participants will learn to interact with the Cortex Analyst service, construct and configure semantic models for data, enable natural language questioning on top of structured data in Snowflake, integrate Cortex Analyst with Cortex Search to enhance SQL queries and much more.
Harish has extensive experience in software, having worked with companies such as Wipro, VMware and Citrix. The workshop will take place from 11:45 PM - 01:15 PM at Breakout Room 2.
Hands-on-Lab 2: Ingesting, Transforming and Delivering Data in Snowflake
Real-time data ingestion with minimal latency has been a dream out of reach for most organisations. Now, Snowflake is putting the data and decision making back into the hands of businesses with a new masterclass titled ‘Ingesting, Transforming and Delivering Data in Snowflake’. Led by Deepjyoti Dev, Senior Cloud Architect, Snowflake, the workshop, at 3:30 PM in the breakout room, will be a deep dive into real-time data loading, how businesses can process and capitalize on highly-perishable streaming data, new features in Snowpipe Streaming, and use cases across a range of industries. Participants will learn how to build an end-to-end data pipeline with Snowflake, apply the Ingestion-Transformation-Delivery framework, enable data sharing from Snowflake marketplace, load data from AWS S3 blob storage, perform transformations against data by leveraging SQL, Python and other tools.
Deepjyoti, an AI architect, equipped with years of experience in cloud analytics, has designed and implemented scalable and robust analytics platforms for Fortune 100 and digital native businesses. His knowledge will guide participants on how to ingest, transform, and deliver data with exceptional efficiency and build an agile, responsive, and decisive data-driven business.
